STUDY AND SURVEY OF THE CRAFT AND DOCUMENTATION , As part of a two-semester, Government of India supported project, my team and I conducted an in-depth field study in Warangal, Andhra Pradesh, focusing on the traditional Warangal Durrie craft. The project involved on-ground research, craft documentation, interaction with artisans, and analysis of materials, techniques, and socio-economic challenges. Based on our findings, we conceptualized and designed innovative product applications aimed at upskilling the craft, expanding its contemporary relevance, and creating sustainable opportunities for local artisans while preserving its cultural identity.
